Announced the "Regulations of Cyber Security Management for Special Non-official Agencies Supervised by Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan."
Announced the "Regulations Governing the Preparation of Accounting Principles and Financial Reports for Agricultural Foundations."
The COA sent staff to Madrid, Spain, to attend the 13th Meeting of the IMM Working Group of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tuna.
Announced amendments to the "Regulations for Tuna Longline Fishing Vessels Proceeding to the Atlantic Ocean for Fishing Operation" and the "Regulations for Tuna Longline Fishing Vessels Proceeding to the Indian Ocean for Fishing Operation."
Held, jointly with Birdlife International, the "Taiwan International Bird Scaring Line Workshop 2019" in Kaohsiung.
Held a ceremony for the joint opening of "Agricultural Products Value-Added Prototyping Centers" and announced the establishment and opening of "Agricultural Product Processing Integrated Services Centers."
Announced the amendment of Article 6 of the "Regulations for Trial Operation of Farmers' Occupational Injury Insurance."
Jointly held, along with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Tainan City government, "2019 Taiwan Tropical Fruits and Processed Products Procurement Day."
Sent staff to Vietnam to attend the signing of the "Agreement to Cooperate on a Demonstration Center on Rice Seed and Fruit Tree Seedling Production" between the COA's Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Long An Province, Vietnam.
Signed the "Administrative Arrangement Between AFA, COA (Taiwan) and CPVO (EU) on Take-over DUS Report of Phalaenopsis and Doritaenopsis " with representatives of the European Union.
Announced the "Operational Directions Governing Operating Minor Forest Products Under-forest on Forest Land." In the first phase the COA accepted applications for three types of operations: shiitake mushrooms and wood ear (black fungus) grown on logs, jewel orchids, and under-forest beekeeping.
Announced the "Forestry Sustainable Multi-Guidance Program," to assist in sustainable operations in manmade forest and raise Taiwan's wood self-sufficiency rate.
Announced amendments to Paragraphs 4, 6, and 13 of the "Operational Directions for Grants to Farmers or Fishermen Whose Children Study in Universities or Senior High Schools" to raise the amounts of grants and to eliminate the academic achievement criteria, retroactively effective to the second semester of the 2018 school year.
The COA attended the "13th Taiwan-Canada Agricultural Cooperation Conference" in Ottawa, Canada.
Conducted verification of inspection and quarantine treatment for the export of domestically produced summer fruits (including mangoes, papayas, dragon fruit, and lychees) to Japan and Korea.
