Announced the amendment of the "Items and Ratio of Subsidy for Farmers' Current Insurance Premium During the Period of Pilot Agricultural Insurance."
In cooperation with the Taipei City government, jointly subsidized the Wild Bird Society of Taipei to hold the "2019 21st Taipei International Birdwatching Fair" in Guandu Nature Park with the theme "Along with the Birds."
Announced the amendment of Article 5 of the "Regulations for Training and Management of Managers of Agro-pesticides Dealer" to reduce the impact of amendments to laws and regulations on the right to work of agro-pesticide dealers.
Attended the "26th Session of the AIT-TECRO Sanitary, Phytosanitary and Agricultural Standards Working Group Consultations" in Maryland, USA, and signed a work plan for the export of Taiwan guavas to the US.
Held the "presentation on applications of large agricultural machinery."
Held the "2019 Workshop on Strengthening International Links in Rice Production Technology to Cope with Climate Change and Improve Food Security."
Held the 2019 conference of the "Asia-Pacific Federation for Information Technology in Agriculture" jointly with the forum of the "Taiwan Agricultural Information Technology Association."
During the "2019 Asia Agri-Tech Exhibition and Forum," cooperated with the Netherlands Trade and Investment Office in Taiwan and the Trade Council of Denmark, Taiwan to hold the "International Forum on Innovative Cross-Sectoral Linkage for Circular Agriculture."
Announced amendments to partial articles of the "Directions for Leased Afforestation Forestlands of State-owned Forest Working Circle" to accelerate administrative procedures for people who have rented land to do afforestation to apply to fell their trees, thereby preserving the industrial supply chain for domestic wood and simplifying government procedures.
The COA held the "Special Exhibition on Satoyama Lifestyles," combining animal and plant life and dietary culture with creative design and handicrafts activities to tell the stories of five land-friendly indigenous communities in Hualien and Taitung and display the results of the Satoyama Initiative.
Held the "1st Top Ten Model of Green Care Awards Ceremony."
Held the "Forum on Export Platform for Taiwan Guavas."
Announced the amendment of Article 5 of the "Regulations of Agro-pesticides Field Test," to change the rules so that plans for domestic experimental field tests of pheromone insecticides loaded on application dispensers or affixed to traps can be sent for review after the experiment. Further, in order to strengthen the domestic use of pheromone insecticides, the COA appropriately reduced the number and scale of field tests for these insecticides in order to reduce the time required for field tests.
Announced the Netherlands as free of highly pathogenic avian influenza, effective from the day of the announcement.
Set up the "Agrotourism Pavilion," the "Agro-gifts and Souvenirs Pavilion" and the "Forest Trip Pavilion" at the "2019 Taipei International Travel Fair."
