Sent staff to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea to attend the 16th Regular Session of the Commission of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC).
Sent staff to Paris, France to undertake part 2 of European field study under the Taiwan-EU framework to improve the working and living conditions of foreign crews on distant water fishing vessels.
In cooperation with Tunghai University and the Taipei Zoo, held the "2019 Asian Wildcat Conservation Workshop," where conservation of the Taiwan leopard cat was discussed and papers were delivered on the themes of "ecological and group research," "management of animals in captivity," and "cat family (Felidae) conservation and medicine," thereby enhancing understanding of wildlife conservation.
Using Blockchain technology, promoted the "Taiwan Forest Products Production Traceability System," which has the special features of offering "traceability" and being "tamper-proof" and "decentralized," thereby protecting the rights and interests of legal businesses and consumers.
Attended activities to mark the 30th anniversary of "Taiwan-Japan Sand Control Technology Exchange" in Japan.
Held the "market opening and business matching meeting for New Southbound and newly rising markets for Taiwan sugar apples."
The President promulgated amendments to the "Statute for Prevention and Control of Infectious Animal Diseases," adding Article 38-3 which stipulates that where Internet content involves products that are subject to quarantine, sold into Taiwan from abroad, and related to importation or other quarantine measures, those who advertise such products, provide platforms, or provide application services, as well as telecommunications enterprises, should add warnings, keep personal data, and limit access to related webpages.
The COA held the "2020 100 Premium Agricultural Products in Taiwan" exhibition.
Held the "2019 Agribusiness Science and Technology Innovation Awards" presentation ceremony and exhibition of project results.
Held the "2019 Sale Expo for Premium Agri-food Products of Assured Safety."
