Announced amendments to Appendix 1 of Article 7 of the "Regulations of Recreational Fishery" and partial articles of the "Regulations on Personnel Management of Fishermen's Association."
Held the Billfish Working Group Workshop, the Statistics Working Group Workshop, and the 19th Plenary Meeting of the International Scientific Committee for Tuna and Tuna-Like Species in the North Pacific Ocean (ISC) in Taipei.
In cooperation with the Council of Indigenous Peoples, announced the "Regulations of Harvesting Forest Products in Light of Indigenous Peoples' Customary Lifeways," to proactively protect the traditional rights of indigenous peoples to use forest natural resources, and from there to move toward joint protection of forests in cooperation with indigenous peoples.
Met with the Office of Food Safety of the Executive Yuan and the Food and Drug Administration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare to discuss safety management of betelnuts.

Sent staff to Tokyo, Japan to attend the 5th Annual Session of the Commission of the North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC) and meetings of related subsidiary bodies.
Sent staff to Bilbao, Spain, to attend the 94th Meeting of the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC) and the Meeting of the Committee for the Review of Implementation of Measures Adopted by the Commission, the Meeting of the Committee on Administration and Finance, and the meeting of the Permanent Working Group on Fleet Capacity of the IATTC.
Held the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of a deep-water wharf and the celebration of the lifting of the EU's "Yellow Card" at Dong-Gang Fishing Harbor, Pingtung County.
Announced amendments to Subparagraph 18 of Paragraph 2 and its supplementary "Quarantine Requirements for the Importation of Mangosteen from Thailand" in Part B "Quarantine Requirements for Conditional Importation of Plants and Plant Products" of the "Quarantine Requirements for the Importation of Plants or Plant Products into the Republic of China."

Announced amendments to Appendices 1 and 2 of Article 2 of the "Regulations for Governing Evaluation of Farmer's Association Performance," increasing the number of points for the category "special achievements," adding new calculation standards, and expanding the types of actions for which points can be given.
