(5) Promoting the "Integration Counseling Program on Rural Community Enterprise"
For this program the COA has selected outstanding agricultural production or operating entities with potential and guided them to transform into the organizational forms of companies or cooperatives. We strengthened their operations to conform more to commercial business models and upgraded their capacity for innovation. We guided them to transform into social enterprises, broadening their impact on society and the environment. The COA has increased the overall production capabilities and production value of rural industries by so far guiding a total of 96 outstanding rural enterprises.
(6) Managing the "Rural Regeneration New Agriculture Demonstration Program"
The COA encourages all citizens to participate in Rural Regeneration and promotes cooperation between the public and private sectors. In 2019 the COA approved subsidies for 16 demonstration projects, importing new economic energy and innovative ideas into rural communities. We promoted private- sector investment of NT$41 million and raised the production value of contract agricultural products by over NT$107.763 million.
