The 2019 conference of the "Asia-Pacific Federation for Information Technology in Agriculture" and the forum of the "Taiwan Agricultural Information Technology Association" were jointly held in Taiwan.
send out customized agricultural information to individuals, such as the transaction prices for fruits and vegetables, reports on the agricultural situation, and information about plant diseases, providing this service over 2.1 million man- times. Moreover, each day, through electronic bulletin boards, we used methods such as audio-visual, picture cards, and electronic scrolling text to transmit information to the operations offices of farmers’ and fishermen’s associations at all levels, to farmers’ service centers, and to supermarkets and other locations. This service supplies information on matters such as important agricultural policies and measures, real-time weather reporting for agriculture, production and marketing, and farmers’ welfare.In order to improve the efficiency of agricultural work, the COA developed the "Farm Production Management System" fieldwork mobile management system, and pro-actively promoted it for use by agribusinesses and farm households. By the end of 2019 this system was being used at a total of 7,603 farms, with over 9,500 users, with the managed area of cultivated land reaching 35,248 hectares, and it has effectively increased farmers’ competitiveness. In order to promote the application of information technology to pig husbandry, we also developed the "Pig Farm Production Management System," which provides services including real-time work records and reminders of irregularities, and which can also produce multiple data analysis, in order to give Taiwan pig farm operators a convenient and efficient management tool; in 2019 this system was used by 207 pig farms.
The COA also developed a correlation model link between the yield monitor harvester and radar satellite images to produce rice yield maps on a regional scale. We also established a system based on remote sensing and ground truth techniques to coordinate with the agricultural production survey system to improve agricultural monitoring and yield
