With respect to the inventory of land used to raise livestock, we used mainly livestock farms which had been registered, and matched this data with livestock management inspection data to get an up-to-date understanding of the land use situation. In terms of the leisure farms inventory, we used mainly leisure farms which had been issued registration certificates before the end of 2017 in order to grasp the area of facilities for such farms. As for data on farmland being used for non- agricultural purposes, the COA updated The Gongrong Community in Sanzhi District of New Taipei City was cited as a case study for the Satoyama Initiative. The COA worked with the Taiwan Railways Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications to launch the first “Satoyama Animal Train” on February 6, 2018.
