(c) Policy-oriented special agricultural loans In 2018, the COA continued to promote policy-oriented special agricultural loans, providing 45,000 farmers and fishermen with NT$28.8 billion in loans, giving them capital needed for their operations. In order to coordinate with government policies such as training young manpower for agriculture and “New Agriculture,” we strengthened our promotion of the “loan for youths establishing agricultural businesses,” the “loan for farmer organizations and agribusiness management and marketing research and innovation,” the “loan for leisure farms,” and the “loan for agricultural energy conservation and carbon-emissions reduction,” providing 1,312 young farmers and business operators with NT$3.28 billion in capital loans.
